You cannot use the report or evidence of the electoral commission to prove your case -Nana Adjoa Addobea Asante

Spokesperson  of the 2nd respondent legal team Nana Adjoa Addobea Asante, has said that,  lead counsel of the petitioner cannot rely on the evidence of the electoral commission to prove their case.

According to her, the petitioner petitioned the apex court due to the fact that, they have evidence to back their claims that, indeed the 2020 general election was flawed. However they need to use their evidence to prove their case to the court.

This comes as the petitioner legal counsel seeks to cross examine witnesses of the 1st and 2nd respondents.

However some section of Ghanaians suggest the 1st witness( chairperson of the electoral commission) should unveil herself for the cross examination in order to clear any doubts. 

The court will decide on Thursday 11, 2021 as to whether or not the witnesses will come and stand in the witness box.
