  GIJ ANNOUNCES NEW DEADLINE FOR PAYMENT OF SCHOOL FEES Management of the Ghana Institute of Journalism has extended it's deadline for payment of school fees for both continuing and fresh students to 25th February, 2021. Students are therefore entreat to take advantage of the new extension.Continuing students and freshmen and women are expected to meet the new deadline on time. The institute earlier declared 3rd February, 2021 as it's deadline for fees payments. Failure of students who are unable to meet the deadline may attract penalty. This noticed was serve through the institute's public affairs unit.

  GHANA TO RECEIVE COVID 19 VACCINE BETWEEN MID-FEBRUARY AND EARLY MARCH--KWAKU AGYEMAN MANU The health minister(designate) Kwaku Agyeman Manu, has said, Ghana is expected to receive its share of the covid 19 vaccine between mid February and early March this year(2021). He revealed this when he appeared before the vetting committee in parliament. According to the minister designate, he cannot give out a particular or specific date to expect the vaccine. However, he can assure Ghanaians that, the vaccine will come between mid February and early March this year. ' I cannot give out any specific date as to when the vaccine will arrive, but we are expecting to receive the vaccine between mid February and early March' he said. This comes after the Ranking Member of the committee Haruna Iddrisu questioned him of the arrival of the vaccine. You cannot use the report or evidence of the electoral commission to prove your case - Nana Adjoa Addobea Asante Spokesperson  of the 2nd respondent legal team Nana Adjoa Addobea Asante, has said that,  lead counsel of the petitioner cannot rely on the evidence of the electoral commission to prove their case. According to her, the petitioner petitioned the apex court due to the fact that, they have evidence to back their claims that, indeed the 2020 general election was flawed. However they need to use their evidence to prove their case to the court. This comes as the petitioner legal counsel seeks to cross examine witnesses of the 1st and 2nd respondents. However some section of Ghanaians suggest the 1st witness( chairperson of the electoral commission) should unveil herself for the cross examination in order to clear any doubts.  The court will decide on Thursday 11, 2021 as to whether or not the witnesses will come and stand in the witness box.

To inform : one of the functions of a journalist is to inform the general public by giving official information about matters which then become news. Media houses in Ghana normally gives out information through their news bulletin in the morning, afternoon and evening or their programs. Interpretation function : one of the function of journalists is to interpret facts they present to their citizens by way of giving detailed analysis of it. Journalist does not only report or bring out facts. In Ghana for instance they do this through their discussion segment on their programs or shows.
